It’s been a long winter, but now that the weather is starting to warm up, we’re looking forward to taking our workouts outside. Here are some of our ready-for-Spring sneakers, tracksuits for women, and a lot more.
Launch 5 Sneakers (Brooks Running)
If you are a runner, walker, or hiker, you’ll love the new Launch 5. To start with, they’re lightweight, with a mesh outer layer that keeps things airy. And with “BioMoGo DNA midsole cushioning” (which means the whole sole is cushioned instead on just the heel and forefoot), they’re wonderfully comfortable. The Launch 5 is perfect for the gym, trails, sidewalks, and anywhere else. $100 at http://www.brooksrunning.com
Adrenaline GTS 18 Sneakers (Brooks Running)
These shoes feature an “asymmetrical 3D Fit Print and TPU saddle,” the above-mentioned BioMoGo DNA midsole cushioning, and an integrated Segmented Crash Pad. Together, they create a shoe that’s all about support, comfort, and soft landings. We’ve used these on about every terrain you can think of, both running and as casual wear, and they have been holding up extremely well. $120 at http://www.brooksrunning.com
Fiona Bra (Brooks Runnings)
If you’re woman and are looking for support without the underwire, this bra’s for you. It’s easy to get on and off, comes in a multitude of colors, and is comfortable enough to wear for a long day. It has molded cups, hook-and-loop adjustable straps (which, surprisingly, actually stay in place) and a padded back closure. The sides come up high enough so there is no leakage, and it will hold you in place as you move about. The compression is excellent. Prices run from $30-$50, depending on size and color. http://www.brooksrunning.com
Insect Shield Albany Pant (Craghoppers)
These chino-looking pants are great for year-round travel and outdoor activities and easy to wear to any occasion. They’re very lightweight, dry quickly, and have both Insect Shield and Solar Shield to keep your days out as pleasant and ouch-free as possible. The material makes it easy to brush of water, mud, dirt, and other annoyances so you can keep moving comfortably. They’re easy to wash and dry (although if you hang them, the insect and solar shields will last longer) you’ll soon be wondering what you ever did without. $80 https://www.craghoppers.com/us/
Insect Shield Luna Tights (Craghoppers)
These lightweight, comfortable, indoor-outdoor pants function equally well on trails, doing yoga class, or just running errands. And the Insect Shield and Solar Shield give you double protection while you’re exploring the great outdoors. They don’t slide down or ride up, which means you won’t be tugging on them all day (and no one will see any more skin then you intended while doing downward dog). Luna Tights come in dark navy and charcoal/white print. $60 at https://www.craghoppers.com/us/
Activewear Sports Dress (Nuu-Muu)
Designed to flatter women’s bodies (and to cover most sports and regular bras) and made from fabric that feels as good as it looks, this dress is so versatile that you can wear it to the gym, to yoga, on a hike, to a PTA meeting, or anywhere else. You can wear it alone or with leggings or shorts for more coverage. Made in the U.S., it comes in sizes “0” to 3LX and in child sizes as well. The sizing is different than other garments, so read the chart before you order, but the fit itself is fantastic. Just get ready for a lot of “where-can-I-get-that” questions and other compliments. Prices vary. You can pick yours out at https://nuu-muu.com
